1. Your Rights

BRewarded, in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“the Act”), which regulates the collection, storage, quality, use and disclosure of personal information and sensitive information, sets out in this Privacy Policy Statement how we handle your information fairly, sensitively and securely and explains that you are given certain rights in respect of this information.

BRewarded has adopted the National Privacy Principles under the Act as amended from time to time (“NPP”) and operates in accordance with the NPP and needs to be read together with the Terms of Use set out on our website www.BRewarded.com.au.

2.Collection of Personal Information

BRewarded may collect the following personal information from persons who provide such information including Cardholders, Supporters and BRewarded Partners:

Name, address & telephone number(s) and other information provided
E-mail address
Date of birth of individuals
Transaction, Beacon and Cookies collected
Names of Registered Contacts
Points issued, earned, refunded or redeemed
BRewarded number
Profile and registration information
Information provided to us from third parties that you have authorised

BRewarded collects this personal information from various sources including profile and application forms, your transactions and from BRewarded Partners.

BRewarded also collects information from website activity from whenever a page is accessed. This information is collected using “cookies”, which are set up on your internet browser. “Cookies” identify what pages have been accessed and identify new or previous users of the website.

All personal information collected by BRewarded is stored in an online database, which is located in Australia.

3.Use of your information

We collect and use your information to process your requests or transactions, to provide you with services that you ask for, inform you about details that we think will be of interest to you, facilitate your use of the BRewarded program and the offers provided by BRewarded Partners. BRewarded may disclose your personal information to its related entities, BRewarded Partners, agents and third-party providers in order to provide you with services under the BRewarded program and to administer the BRewarded program.

Personal information may be used or shared by BRewarded for any or all of the following purposes:

General administration and in response to an emergency or to protect the personal safety of any person;
Correspondence with you;
To conduct statistical analyses, surveys, newsletters, special offers and compile reports for us and BRewarded Partners;
To disclose personal information where required by law, any court proceedings, or for any fraud or crime prevention purposes;
To be provided to BRewarded’s professional advisors including lawyers, marketing and business advisors and auditors;
To conduct marketing, planning, product development, research and other related purposes in relation to the BRewarded program, and
For other purposes which would be reasonably implied or expected.

BRewarded may also disclose your personal information to BRewarded Partners so that they may provide you with information and offers about their products and services.

4.Your Consent

Unless you notify BRewarded in writing, you agree to any or all of the paragraph 3 uses of your personal information. You also agree to similar use of other personal information that BRewarded obtains about you from other sources mentioned above.

Subject to the Privacy Act, if BRewarded acquires any of your personal information in other ways, or if it uses your personal information for purposes other than those listed above, BRewarded will notify you and seek your consent.

Whenever reasonably practicable BRewarded will seek your consent in advance of, and otherwise as soon as practicable after such event. In addition, you may opt out of receiving promotional emails and other communications from us at any time by giving us written notice of your specific request. At such times, BRewarded will take reasonable steps to inform you of:

The purpose/s for which the information is collected;
Any law including the NPP where applicable that requires us to collect that information; and
The main consequences that will apply if you refuse or fail to supply any item or items of information, or to authorise its collection or its use.

5. Information Security

BRewarded takes reasonable steps to protect information we collect to prevent loss misuse and unauthorised access. If you intend to disclose confidential information such as credit card numbers and passwords, you need to be aware that even though we take appropriate precautions no system provides impenetrable security for your information that you disclose over the Internet. We cannot guarantee that any passively collected information you provide will always be secure. Please advise us immediately if you believe that your password or confidential information has been misused.

BRewarded is not responsible for and cannot influence the privacy policy of BRewarded Partners when you provide them with your information. BRewarded does not make or imply any warranty and excludes to the fullest extent permitted by law all liability for consequences of you providing your information to third parties.

6. Records Containing Personal Information

To access, correct and/or update our records containing personal information relating to you, please access the BRewarded website or call 1300 552 946. The access will usually be provided to you at no cost subject to you verifying your identity. If fees apply, we will advise you of the likely cost in advance.
